Main Events:

5,000M, 10,000M
After completing my degree in Physical Education from Edinburgh University and gaining my teaching certificate in 2013, I accepted a scholarship to Vancouver, Canada to compete for Trinity Western University under coach Mark Bomba. Fast forward six years and my adventures in North America have resulted in constant leaps forward and twice becoming Canadian University Champion and Scottish Champion over 1500m, 5km and 10miles. I have set personal bests in every event on the track & road, and had successful performances on the cross country and road circuit. Currently I represent the Langley Mustangs Elite Club based in Langley, Canada coached by Mark Bomba. In 2019, I set the Candian soil 5km road record, recording the fastest 5km time ever recorded in Canada of 15:29. This ranks top 3 all-time 5km road in Scottish history. Also in 2019 I achieved a 10,000m time of 32:36 on the track which currently ranks #1 in the UK rankings. This season goals include the European 10,000m cup and World Championships in Doha.

Personal Information

Family BackgroundI was raised on a beef, sheep and dairy farm with my parents, brother and sister. We all worked on the farm growing up. I am a triplet. Both my siblings ran too. Our family were very competitive and we loved training/racing to beat each other. The three of us have all represented Scotland in athletics.
Intro to RunningI initially competed in highland dancing, I began running at the age of 10 competing in elementary school cross country races and shortly after joined my local running club. I immediately had the running bug and experienced great junior success, a highlight competing at the World Cross Country Championship for Great Britain in 2010. I enjoyed cross country, track and hill running as a junior and the social side of the running community.
Other InterestsI am a Physical Education teacher. I have my Bachelors of Education from Edinburgh University and masters degree in educational leadership from TWU. I enjoy coaching younger athletes and encouraging others to be active. Former cross country coach for Langley Mustangs.
